HOLI|HOW TO MAKE|FIRNI FALOODA TRIFLE – Firni is my all time favorite, it is basmati rice flour milk pudding and it is famous in northern India. In this post surprise of lots of flavor in one recipe i assured you enjoy a lot. Now this is your turn to learn how to make firni falooda trifle recipe.

INGREDIENTS

FOR FALOODA:
Falooda sev – 1/ 2 cup                                         
Green color – few drops
Red color – few drops
Pistachio essence – few drops
Rose essence – few drops
FOR FIRNI:
Milk – 2 cup
Rice flour – 2 tbsp
Sugar – 4 tbsp
FOR GARNISHING:
Cherries – 3 tbsp
 Almonds – 1 tbsp (chopped)
Cashew – 1 tbsp (chopped)
Pistachios – 1 tbsp (chopped)
Vanilla ice cream – 4 scoop or as required

ON THIS HOLI|HOW TO MAKE|FIRNI FALOODA TRIFLE :

METHOD FOR FIRNI:

1.Wash and soak basmati rice in water for about 3 to 4 hrs. Then Coarsely grind the soaked rice in the coffee grinder for a minute.

2.In a heavy bottom pan add milk and grind rice and let it boil on simmer.

3.Stir occasionally, add saffron and let the firni cook for 10-15 minutes or until it starts thickening.

4.Once you get thickness of the firni add sugar or your choice of sweetener and turn off the flame. let cool it and keep aside.

METHOD FOR FALOODA:

1. After this take another pan and boiled Falooda sev on medium flame for 20-30 minutes. Then chill on room temperature.

2. Take 3 separate bowls and divide Falooda sev in equal amounts in all bowls also leave some Falooda sev (white color sev) then add few drop of red color and little amount of water then add rose extract in bowl and stir it.

3. In next bowl add few drop of green color and pistachios extract then stir it. Keep aside in refrigerator until use.

4. Bring 2 cup milk to boil and simmer till it reduces to 1 ½ cups. Then turn off flame and bring to room temperature and chill it. After this keep it on refrigerator for until use. Chill the serving glass into fridge.

5. Take chilled glass add 2 tbsp rose syrup. Then add chilled firni into glass and settle it. After this add white Falooda sev in serving glass and settle it.

6. For second layer add few firni add green color Falooda sev and settle it. Then for third layer add firni add red color Falooda sev and settle it.

7. For garnishing placed vanilla ice cream scoop on top most layer on ice cream sprinkle cherry and nuts. Serve immediately.
